I'm ordering this one for myself. My life just feels so incomplete without it ;) hehe

Decadent gold us always a plus for Eid.

Super cute pleated cut sleeves and vibrant purple piping.... gorgeous.

Loaded with Swarvoski crystals

A more understated option, but one with sparkling blue and gold Swarvoski crystals

More simplistic design, but sparkly pink and white cuffs make it perfect for Eid.

Jewelry Trends in the Gulf

Khaleeji women are well known for their bold, fearless fashion sense and their jewelry is not excluded from their decedent sense of style. I love how the Khaleeji girls take the most current trends and then inject their own cultural flavor and flair into it. I follow a lot of Arabic fashion blogs from the gulf region and here's what I've found for this season's must-have jewelry and accessories.

Statement necklaces are everywhere and incorporate a mix of medias and materials from the obligatory Khaleeji style crystallization to fabrics and textiles. You want to look out for chained and beaded fringe adornments as well. Vintage and Victorianesque inspired designs are back. In the gulf, bigger is better and they don't shy away from size, color, and certainly not glamor.

Necklaces are big and make a statement. Length is favored as are "bib" style necklaces that drape across and cover the chest with their fringes and crystals. Accents like feathers, fabric rosettes, and chains are fresh and modern and nautical and vintage pieces get a nod this season. The pic to the right here incorporates many of these trends into one piece. Note the sprinkling of crystal strands among the harder materials like the chains and florals. Pearls are a definite must as well. The pic below features the mixed media accents like the fabric floral rosettes and pearls.

Earrings are super long, bold, and over the top. Feathered earrings are highly favored this season and not just the traditional feather colors, but bolds, neons, and hard contrasting colors. Chain fringe earrings are hot as are extra long chandelier style earrings. Like the necklaces, vintage and Victorian inspiration is trending as are animal touches like peacocks. As is always trendy in the Arabian Gulf, glamorous crystallized earrings and multi-million dollar looking jewels are everywhere, the more elaborate, the better.

A new earring-necklace hybrid has made a huge splash in the fashion scene this season. It's called earring lace and it's meant to serve as both ear and neck adornment. It was popularized by the singer Rhianna and can now be found in accessories shops all across the gulf region. I like this trend, but I think it's more on the adventurous side of the accessory fashion spectrum at the moment. This picture to the right shows you what earring lace is and how you wear it. It almost reminds me of some kind of royal medieval style jewelry from way back in the day that women in corsets would wear. Very cool, though.

Chunky bracelets, charmed bangles, and fringed accents are all over the bracelets this season. The picture at the top of this post features a colorful, fringed stretch cuff. Crystals are everywhere on bracelets as well keeping up with the glamorous and flashy style of the gulf. Vintage animal prints and peacocks are hugely popular. Cocktail rings are bursting in crystals and, like all of the trends this season, reflect the bigger is better motto.

I've searched and hunted and I've put together some fantastic selections in our store that genuinely reflect the styles and trends of the season. I have huge selections of earrings, rings, statement necklaces, and even crystallized USB jewelry which has been hot in the gulf for a couple years now. Here are some photos of our fabulous offerings in our store Boutique Al-Khaleejia.
